In early December, Moventis formed part of a French, Belgian and Spanish delegation led by Pôle de compétitivité « Véhicule du futur » and organised in partnership with CCI France-Chine. This initiative allowed Moventis to explore the most recent advancements being made on self-driving vehicle technologies in China.

Júlia Farré, Head of Business Development at Moventis, represented the company on this trip, which included various practical sessions and visits to innovative projects in such key cities as Beijing, Guangzhou and Shenzhen. Moventis had a chance to experience self-driving taxis and buses during these sessions, providing a deep immersion into current technological and operational capabilities.

One of the stand-out moments of the trip was a visit to the first self-driving bus line run by Shenzhen Bus Group, which picked up its first passengers in Qianzai in September 2024 and remains operational. The operation of robotaxis managed by pioneering companies in the sector (Pony.ai and WeRide) was also presented to the delegation.

Opinions were also exchanged with local and regional authorities during the trip. This led to an enriching dialogue about the current state of national regulations and guidelines around self-driving vehicles.
