From winner of the Pyr’Epic to Villavesa driver: Sergio Robledo’s inspiring story of overcoming adversity
29 April 2024
After facing some complicated health challenges, this man from Navarre discovered a new passion and employment stability thanks to Moventis TCC and COCEMFE Navarra

Sergio Robledo Etxepare, a bicycle mechanic, guide instructor and winner of the demanding Pyr’Epic 2018 MTB competition, saw his dreams cut short when he was forced to face a series of health challenges that included a skin disease and two types of cancer.

Sergio always used to find his release in sport but side-effects from medical treatments left him unable to continue. Faced with that complicated situation, he placed himself in the hands of COCEMFE Navarra and, thanks to the work of the career guidance teams, Sergio retrained as a Villavesa driver at Moventis TCC, the company awarded the Regional Urban Transport (TUC) service in Pamplona and owned by Moventia.

He fitted in quickly and got a great sense of satisfaction from his new job as a Villavesa driver, which also gave him stability and peace of mind. Thanks to the labour market integration support for persons with disabilities provided by Moventis TCC, Sergio has been able to reinvent himself and now encourages others in a similar situation to seek support from such organisations and companies to hire persons with disabilities, highlighting their ability and enthusiasm to work.

Moventia and, by extension, its operator, Moventis TCC, are firmly committed to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Through labour market inclusion, a focus on safety and other lines of action, they foster wellbeing in the community and in their employees. Their comprehensive approach reflects their vision for a fairer, more inclusive and more sustainable future.
