Moventis Pays de Montbéliard collects Digital Mobility Award

In December, Gregory Carmona, General Manager of Moventis Pays de Montbéliard, collected the award given to the company by the magazine “Ville, Rail et Transport” in December 2020.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Moventis developed digital payment method solutions in record time.

This digitalisation of payment methods, which was rolled out swiftly and announced during the first lockdown, was necessary to guarantee employee safety and also meet the needs of users. With support from Airweb, a French leader in digital sales, Moventis was able to ensure safety for on-board ticket sales from the end of the first week of lockdown. A fortnight later, it launched the ÉvolitY Pass app to offer most of its available bus passes in a digital format.

“Initial results are highly encouraging, with sales via smartphones accounting for nearly 20%. After only six months, we are leading our sector within the transport industry”, explains Gregory Carmona, General Manager at Moventis Pays de Montbéliard.

Moventis Pays de Montbéliard was up against such cities as Toulon and Tours for this award, which are urban areas with more inhabitants than Montbéliard, meaning that receiving this award is a major milestone for the company given the size and resources of its competitors.

Taxi Amic recognised for its work on transport services for PRM

Taxi Amic, the adapted taxi company belonging to Moventis that has partnered with TCC Transports Ciutat Comtal, has received the “award for commitment to transport services for persons with reduced mobility” at the I Catalonia Awards organised by the La Razón newspaper last December.

These awards, which recognise the work of companies and business leaders who have successfully responded to the needs of society within such a difficult scenario as the one we have today, highlight the more than 25-year track record of Taxi Amic in providing transport services to all those people who cannot use standard vehicles in the Barcelona area with an adapted mobility system that was the first of its kind in Europe.

This company offers its transport services to persons with reduced mobility via a fleet of fully adapted taxis and a one-to-one process given that the specific nature of this service requires a highly personalised response for its users. Taxi Amic drivers are not only engaged in transporting people from one place to another but also perform other roles, such as assistance and support for accessing and alighting from the vehicle, accompaniment to and from the pavement, wheelchair anchoring and safety belt use.

Furthermore, Taxi Amic not only provides its adapted transport services in the Barcelona area but also offers transfers to Barcelona Airport and the Port of Barcelona, as well as motorway journeys outside of Barcelona, exclusively to persons with reduced mobility.

As Jordi Galbán, Manager of Taxi Amic, explains “we are very happy to receive this recognition of our commitment to mobility for people who, because of a disability, are unable to use conventional public transport services. We at Taxi Amic work hard every day to offer them the best travel experience and, in short, do our bit to help build a better society”.

Moventia joins the Eurofirms Foundation campaign

To help celebrate the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the Eurofirms Foundation launched its #IgualdeDiferentes #Igualdeprofesionales [#EquallyDifferent #EquallyProfessional] campaign to highlight the talent and skills of persons with disabilities who are often obscured by the numerous stereotypes that exist today.

The campaign is based on five illustrations by the prestigious illustrator, Javier Royo, that reveal how persons with disabilities are sometimes treated in order to underline the importance of recognising them as professionals in their own right.

Moventia has joined this initiative under its Corporate Social Responsibility Policy.

The Can San Joan bus, a success story at “Public transport school”

Joan Giménez, General Manager of Regular Services at Moventis, was invited by Promoción del Transporte Público (PTP) to present our bus service on the Can San Juan industrial estate at the ‘Public Transport School’ conference recently organised by PTP on the important role played by public transport by bus in public mobility as a benchmark example of such services.

Three routes with four vehicles, a common section with the service running every five minutes at rush hour and instructions for the driver to wait if the train is running late. These are just a few of the key characteristics that Joan Giménez shared during the round table discussion with other players in the sector. The event also included talks from: Montse Solano, a Planning Department Officer at Soler y Sauret; Gerard Pérez, Head of Operations at the Mollet depot for Sagalés; Roser Argilés, Head of Projects at Teisa; and Samuel de la Fuente, Mobility and Services Management Manager for ATM in Lleida.

Sarsa Terrassa, venue for the Plenary Session of the Terrassa Chamber of Commerce

Sarsa Terrassa, the official dealership for Audi, Seat, Skoda, Cupra and Volkswagen located between Calle Cinca and Calle Jiloca was the venue recently chosen by the Terrassa Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services to hold its plenary session.

The event, which took place on the top floor of the dealership where the Audi Selection Plus range of second-hand vehicles can be found, was attended by members of the organisation’s plenary session, consisting of various executives and business leaders from the area of influence covered by this chamber of commerce, to analyse and debate several issues related to the current and future status of the business fabric in Terrassa.

The Managing Director of the Terrassa Chamber of Commerce, Josep Prats, said “I would like to thank Enric Fauste, General Manager of Sarsa, for the mutual trust that has been built up together between the chamber of commerce and Sarsa, culminating in this event being held here today”.

In response, Enric Fauste, General Manager of Sarsa went on to add that “it is our pleasure that such an important organisation as the Terrassa Chamber of Commerce would choose our premises to hold one of its most important annual meetings”.

Ramon Talamàs, President of the Terrassa Chamber of Commerce, expressed his gratitude for the service provided by Sarsa Terrassa to the organisation and went on to add that, “thanks to this system of meetings held away from our own premises, we can get closer to the reality and circumstances of local businesses, such as the Moventia Group in this case. We have clearly seen its strong capacity and forward-looking vision of the automotive sector and mobility”.

Finally, Miquel Martí, Chairman of Moventia, said “we are very happy to be here today and to have this chance to take part in an event by the chamber of commerce that gathers such a great deal of the business fabric of Terrassa in one place, an essential way to promote the city’s economy”.

Moventia supports the 2021 La Marató

Moventia has firmly maintained its commitment to society and even made it stronger at a time when support for tackling some tough circumstances is so very much needed. Moventia wants to be actively involved in developing a better society, whether that be by promoting its own programmes or by collaborating with non-profit entities and foundations in various areas. Hence, Moventia is supporting the TV3 “La Marató” once again this year, this time with two Izaro and Calella coaches for use by the various artists who will perform during the show.

The charity programme on TV3 and Catalunya Ràdio will air on Sunday, 19 December and will be focused on mental health problems. These issues are very common and affect one in four people at some point in their life. They have a heavy impact on society and healthcare services, as well as on the quality of life for those affected and others around them.

TCC Pamplona ‘Teaming’ donates over 22,000 euros to social projects in five years

Over the five years it has existed, the TCC Pamplona ‘Teaming’ has managed to reach a total of 22,500 euros in support of 15 social projects. This year, three organisations received a total of 4,500 euros. They were the Eunate Elkartea Association, the Médicos del Mundo Navarra Association and the Brazadas de Superación Foundation.

The money raised comes from micro-donations of one euro from the salaries of half of the company workforce, to which is added the contribution from TCC Pamplona itself, which donates one additional euro for every euro donated by the employees taking part in the initiative. These donations continued to arrive even during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The employees of TCC Pamplona are also responsible for choosing the social entities that receive their donation. In this regard, the drivers Daniel Rodríguez and Mave Navarro decided to give their donations to the Eunate Elkartea Association for its ‘Learning to Talk’ project. Since 1999, this association has been defending the rights of the hearing impaired by supporting and helping families to enhance their well-being and full integration into society. This video shows their work.
